Tony Bennett to tour throughout the U.S. this fall

Tony Bennett is bringing his classic sound to the masses this fall, with tour dates spanning through mid-December.

The 10 remaining gigs are spread out throughout the Midwest and East, including Oct. 22 at the Riverwind Casino in Norman, Okla., Oct. 28 at the Mahalia Jackson Theatre in New Orleans, Nov. 5 at the Carpenter Center in Richmond, and Dec. 3-4 at the Wellmont Theatre in Montclair, N.J.

Bennett’s last tour date for 2010 is Dec. 19 at the Majestic Theare in San Antonio. However, Tony Bennett tickets are already available for a handful of concerts in 2011, including stops in Fort Lauderdale, Nashville, Louisville and Houston.

Bennett taking the UK by storm

In celebration of his 60th anniversary as a musician, Tony Bennett released for UK fans only, The Ultimate American Songbook. In support of his latest record, he will be touring the UK through July.

In addition, Tony Bennett will be participating in the 2010 iTunes Festival as the headlining act on July 2nd. Tony is thrilled to be a part of this event, “I’ll be making my first appearance at the iTunes Festival at Camden’s Roundhouse. I love performing my favorite music, the Great American Songbook, to audiences of every age - so playing to the iTunes crowd in such an intimate setting will be great fun. The audiences of Britain have been so warm and welcoming and I always look forward to coming here to perform.”

The iTunes Festival features 62 bands performing 31 consecutive nights at Camden’s Roundhouse in London. Every performance will be recorded and sold exclusively through all 23 iTunes stores. The Scissor Sisters will be the opening night performance on July 1st.

Fans in the US, don’t you worry, the classy crooner will be returning to the States for a 12-date tour in August & September, so there’s still time to get your Tony Bennett tickets.

Tony Bennett lends voice to “We are the World 25″

Legendary crooner Tony Bennett took time from his performances in Las Vegas to support the Haitian relief effort by singing in the 2010 version of “We are the World.”

The track, formally titled “We are the World 25 for Haiti,” was released during the open ceremonies of the Winter Olympics to raise money for Haitian earthquake relief.

Along with Bennett, the song features an eclectic group of artist including Lil Wayne, Kanye West, Wyclef Jean, Nick Jonas, Justin Beiber, Kid Cudi, Al Jardine, Gladys Night and Carlos Santana.

With a non-stop touring schedule between now and January 2010, and flights from Canada to Brazil, and Brazil to the USA, 83-year-old Tony Bennett is keeping up the life of a young man!
